I, Shashank Sahu, a Software Engineer at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, owe much of my success to the mentorship and guidance of Pawan Sir. Looking back, I never imagined coding would become such a significant part of my life. Before the 9th grade, computer science seemed daunting, and I often found it challenging to keep it up.
Everything changed when I joined Pawan Computer Classes in the 9th grade, where I studied for four years until the 12th grade. There, I learned Java, Data Structure, Boolean Algebra and Computer fundamental concepts which became key stepping stones in my programming journey and helped me immensely during my college days. Pawan Sir, the teacher and mentor behind the coaching, didn’t just explain the “how” but inspired the “why.” He introduced me to coding as more than a set of rules, making complex concepts feel simple while encouraging us to push our boundaries and embrace curiosity.
Beyond teaching, Pawan Sir also hosted competitions like “Student of the Year" fostering a healthy competitive spirit and making learning exciting. His dedication, belief in his students, and innovative approach to teaching created an inspiring classroom environment where learning felt like an adventure.
That experience changed everything and led me to pursue a career in technology. Today, as I work in the field that once felt so out of reach, I often reflect on that classroom where my passion for coding first took shape. Thanks to Pawan Sir’s influence and encouragement, I discovered a lifelong calling that continues to inspire me every day.
